Our classmate Rod Ryan died of cancer on July 7, 2010, in Bend, Oregon.  Prior to moving to Oregon, he had lived and worked in California—Chico, Yuba City, and Sacramento.  According to his wife, Peggy, he was a building inspector, and did remodel and electrical work and also worked on cars, part time. When his mom got sick he moved her down to Sacramento and cared for her full time.  Rod and Peggy were married for 20 years and had a son together.  After her retirement, they moved to La Pine, in Deschutes County, Oregon.  In addition to Peggy and their son, Rod is survived by two daughters from his first marriage.
